Hey, I'm Heidi and I'm usually hanging out here at 89X on Saturday and Sunday evenings...and at the last-minute whenever someone's got the day off or is sick.  I've been a part of the X-Team for eleven years and on-air for ten of them...which is crazy, because I've never done anything for eleven years and not been bored.  But I have a ton of fun at the station, I get the chance to see and meet some amazing bands and work with incredibly cool people, so I guess if I'm going to do something for eleven years--and hopefully more!--then this isn't such a bad gig!

Some random facts about me, in no particular order:

• I think I verge on being Obsessive Compulsive (I like things organized and labelled including the hook where I hang my towel and all of my photo albums.)

• I don't like surprises and will look to the end of a book or ask about the end of a movie before I read it/see it since I don't want to be disappointed.  I don't like it when movies have crappy endings, so I'd rather not waste my time. 

• I really don't like the cold weather very much, but I always get excited in September when the nice Fall clothes come out.  I love hot weather and warm water, whether it's here in someone's pool in the Summer or some tropical island in the Winter (preferably the British Virgin Islands but I'm not picky).

• I don't like to drive if I can avoid it--I prefer to be driven, but then I get carsick if I'm in the passenger seat or back seat and that's no fun, either.

• I loved High School and University (I have an Honors Communications degree) and would be a permanent student if somebody would pay for it.  But I'm still paying off my student loans on my first degree, so I don't see that happening anytime soon.

• At 31 years of age, you'd think I'd have those loans paid off, but I don't.  And, I'm 31 and I don't like it when people lie about their age.  I figure I'm the same age as Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron--how can that be bad?

• I'm not hot like Angie or Charlize, although I did cut my hair super-short a few years ago, like Charlize's used to be.  I liked it for a while, but it was a bitch to grow out.

• I'm tall (almost five foot ten), but I still like to wear high heels.  However, it's not much fun to shop for shoes since I'm vegetarian and prefer not to wear leather.  (I feel like my ethics get in the way of my shopping, but given the fact that my student loans are still outstanding, maybe I shouldn't be shoe-shopping anyway?)
