Tell us about yourself,
Heidi...
Hey, I'm Heidi and I'm on 89X weekdays
between 10am and 3pm. I think my job description is pretty
much "do what it takes to get you through your work day"!
I've been at 89X for over ten years--first as
an on-air producer, then fill-in, midnights, weekends and
now middays. I'm a huge Chili Peppers fan--along with the
Beastie Boys, both my all-time faves. My favourite NEW bands
change almost daily but currently I am all over Arcade Fire,
Linkin Park and Weezer.
Some random stuff about me: I love animals so
much that I don't eat them! I'm sort of a book nerd and am
super into yoga (I'm horribly uncoordinated but oddly
flexible). I used to run and I keep meaning to start again
to see if I can beat my pathetic time in the Detroit Free
Press Half Marathon but running is a LOT of work. Even
though I’m clumsy I still love to wear heels, because I’m
5’10” and love towering over people. And the most
frequently asked question I get is “where did you go to
school?” Answer: I have an Honors Communications degree
from the University of Windsor.
